You can also use this technique in Instant Pot, so you don’t have to buy an extra device, like that you save money and place on the kitchen shelf.
In Instant Pot, steaming is possible in 2 ways:
1.) Steaming with pressure
2.) Steamimg on classic way
Steaming with pressure
Place 1-2 cups of water in Instant Pot. Wash and cut food and put on steaming grid.
Close the lid and set the valve to the “seal” option. Set the time.
When cooking is over, make a quick release to stop cooking.
In this way, the foods will be a bit softer than in a classic way.
Steamimg on classic way
Place 1-2 cups of water in Instant Pot. Wash and cut food and put on steaming grid.
Switch Instant Pot to “saute” option. When the water start to boil, put steaming grid with into Instant Pot and cover with glass lid with hole.
Cook according to the time table or personal preference depending on whether you prefer harder or lighter foods.
